My search for the perfect silky shirt is still very much underway. You know when you have an image of exactly what you want in your head, but cannot find it anywhere? Frustrating, isn’t it?

For the time being, this Mango navy shirt will have to do. The material is lovely and light, just not as silky as I’m after.

Anyone who read Layers&Leather last summer may remember by obsession with all things 70’s. Suede, fringing, flares and platforms took over my (any many other women’s) wardrobe.

Now, 90’s styles are coming back… in a big way.

Platform trainers, tracksuits (sports luxe), high waists and silk slips are popping up everywhere. And I am very. F’ing. Excited.

A way to add some subtle homage to the 90’s would be to dig out your MOM/Boyfriend/Girlfriend jeans from last year, and sinch the waste with a chunky leather belt. These jeans are my go-to pants for most occasions. The specific ones I am wearing are from New Look, and are the Girlfriend style – I can’t recommend them enough!

I always feel best pairing this fit of pants with barely there heels or subtle platforms to elongate the leg.

Whatever you wear on top should be tucked in to show off your kick-ass belt and there you have it.

Ah, the 90’s never felt so good.
