Alright, alright. I know December isn’t the best time to flouncing around in a skirt, especially one with a rather dramatic split in it, but when has the threat of catching a cold ever stopped me?
This skirt was one that I originally spotted on Fashion Influx’s haul post a few weeks ago, and I have been eyeing it up ever since. It wasn’t until I saw it hanging on the sale rack not too long ago that I decided to go for it. I’m not going to lie, I think this style would flatter a more hourglass figure which would make the cinched waist much more flattering. Also, the split created due to the wrap over style is extremely high. Sadly, I only noticed this moments before leaving the house, so had to quickly sew a makeshift modesty tack into the skirt, meaning it doesn’t expose as much, particularly when walking.
I absolutely adore the style, and think it would look extremely polished on the right shape, yet I feel on my shape, it looks pretty, but nothing special.
One think I love about this outfit though, my polka dot shirt. I always have, and always will, be a lover of any type of shirt, and this one is so comfortable and goes with pretty much everything.
My leather collar is from eBay, and seriously, I am loving this trend right now! I originally spied it on Alexa Chung and bought myself a dupe for ebay £3. Don’t get me wrong, its not the most comfortable accessory, but it certainly is eye catching.
And of course, my boots are from Zara (yes, they are the same ones I have used in my past few OOTD’s – I cant get enough of them)!
How do you seen/bought this skirt? How do you wear it? Let me know below.
