Liverpool Fashion Week kicked off last night at the Liver Hotel and I was lucky enough to receive a press pass to the full four day event!
Yesterday was exceptionally chilly, so I decided to go for a comfy over-sized jumper to keep me warm and cozy for a long day of awing at new designers.
I decided to keep the look casual with a pair of ripped knee skinny jeans and zip leather peep toe boots.
My highlight of LFW launch last night where two designers that I had never paid much attention to before. One was a local designer Threads by Northwest Design Works, the other, the national department retailer John Lewis. Last night was the first time I had heard of Threads, however, like most people, I was already aware of John Lewis.
I think most women who are in their late teens, early twenties have a pre-conceived idea of John Lewis’ style to be for a more mature, older audience, and I was no different.
I say ‘was’, because when those first few outfits caught my eye, I felt as though I was watching a premium designer showcasing a new collection rather than a department store – and one thing to note is that the garments displayed where very reminiscent of Louis Vuitton’s AW15 show with a nod to the ever popular 70’s style.
Needless to say, I will definitely be popping in next time I pass!
