A good duster coat is like a good friend – it’s there for you when you don’t think you need it (i.e when the weather looks deceptively glorious, but your legs turn blue from the cold when you’re outside without a paddle). They’re light, easy to carry around and give you that little bit of protection from the breeze when you need it. It’s not just me who feels this passionately about dusters, is it?!
Regardless, I’ve been obsessed with this duster jacket from Yumi Clothing. The pinstripe jacket has a very classy, almost bond girl sexiness to it. It also features some statement silver buttons down the front, which makes it a little different from most other duster jackets from high street stores.

As the jacket is somewhat a statement piece, I wanted to pair it some some simple basics. This tan coloured dress was bought from H&M around 2 years ago. Although they don’t sell this exact one anymore, they have some very similar ones which are an absolute steal starting from £7.99.
My lace up block heels are from Zara. As much as I love the look and idea behind these shoes, I can’t wear them all the time due to how much they destroy my feet – and this is coming from a girl who wears heels everyday! I have to say, though, I know a few people who own the exact same pair and adore them, so i may just be my poor feet!
Finally, my box bag is also from Zara and has been features on lots of my OOTD past from last year.
What’s your opinion on duster jackets – tres chic or tres faux?
