How chic and Autumn ready is this coat guys? I mentioned on my last post about my new love, eBay, and this is one more little treasure I found myself.
This is a 2014 Zara coat that I fell in love with, but it sold out disappointingly fast. Scrolling though some Zara items, I found myself a brilliant seller, Wearmymoneyyy (link HERE), who sells brand new, sold out Zara garments with free delivery all the way from Athens. Seriously, if you haven’t already checked out her items for sale, I would highly recommend giving her a go.
Anyway, this faux leather, burgundy jacket really gives a retro vibe to a simplistic outfit – and is undeniably something that wouldn’t look out of place on Jackie Burkhart or Brigette Bardot.
I initially wanted to pair this jacket with some flares for a real old school vibe, however, I found the jacket to be a little to big along with the flared jeans, and the combination just swamped my frame. Instead, try a pair of skinny jeans to draw attention to slimmer calves when wearing a over-sized jacket (especially quite a stiff one like this).
Staying in the same colour palette, my nude leather boots blend the outfit along with a sheer white V neck blouse.
The two times I have worn this, I have received lots of complements, which re-enforced my love for the coat. (Just to note; I was also called Buffy the Vampire Slayer by a barista in Costa, and The Terminator by a colleague – but I’ll take that as a compliment!)
Stay tuned for an eBay haul giving you a peek at my newest purchases from some great sellers this month.
