As much as I love denim and wish I could LIVE in my Levi MOM jeans, there’s something refreshingly different about stepping out in a summer dress. Ambiguity is a trend closely followed by many men and women, including myself, so I wonder if that’s why I felt so ‘dressed-up’ when I stepped out in an ultra feminine, floaty dress? Or maybe that’s why I got lots of comments about how ‘cute’ I dressed today (then again, it may be due to my 5ft stature)?
This is one of the very few dresses I own, so it’s no surprise when people think its new, but I actually bought this some point last year from Zara. The material is lovely and light, and the dress comes with a black satin under-dress (which, I must admit, I have worn separately too). The floral pattern is not something i’d usually go for, but something about it just works with this dress. Very 70’s, no?
Paired with these Zara Suede heeled boots smartens the look up a tad and adds to the 70’s feel.
No good 70’s look is complete without a cool pair of round sunnies, so I wore my all time favourite shades – my House Of Harlow Daisy Sunglasses. Finally, I wore my new Alexander Wang Rocco bag. The thing I love about this bag is how the thick pebbled leather keeps it a classic, yet the brass studs add an edgy side to the feminine vibe.
